MANDARIN ORIENTAL MAJORQUE
PUNTA NEGRA
At Mandarin Oriental Punta Negra, Mallorca, Laura Gonzalez designed the restaurants Leppoc and Thalos, their terraces and poolside spaces as an extension of her work on the hotel’s interiors.
At Thalos, Greek-inspired dining meets the relaxed atmosphere of an open-air poolside bar. Honey-toned wood, bamboo and woven textures combine with ochre fabrics, giving the restaurant a warm, sunny character. Stripes and botanical motifs dress the seating and continue in softer shades of blue around the pool.

PUNTA NEGRA
Leppoc celebrates Mediterranean and Spanish Riviera flavours. Warm wood, woven textures and sculptural ceramics lend depth to a palette of ivory and blue, while patterned fabrics bring softness to the dining room. The same attention to materials continues across the shaded terraces and around the pool, inviting guests to share a meal or linger through the afternoon among the pines.
Set within a three-hectare coastal estate on Mallorca’s southwest coast, Mandarin Oriental Punta Negra overlooks two secluded coves, with Mediterranean gardens stretching towards the sea. First opened in 1966, the hotel begins a new chapter with interiors by Laura Gonzalez.
Inspired by the soul of the island, Laura Gonzalez conceived a journey through colour, light and nature. Her work encompasses the rooms and suites, casitas, common spaces, pools, wellness and spa areas, as well as two restaurants. Mallorca’s craft traditions and artistic heritage inform the choice of materials, patterns and furnishings, reflecting the warmth of the island and its distinctive Mediterranean light.
