Laura Gonzalez is a French architect, designer and interior decorator, and a graduate of the \u00c9cole d\u2019architecture Paris-Malaquais. Her multidisciplinary practice spans interiors, furniture and objects, developed in close collaboration with master artisans. Colour and a finely judged sense of mix define her signature: an eclectic vision in which materials, patterns and periods converse.

Informed by art and diverse cultures, her work is rooted in the history and spirit of each place. At the helm of her studio, she has created private residences and landmark projects around the world, including Cartier boutiques in New York, Miami, Vienna and Place Vend\u00f4me; Printemps in New York; the Saint James Paris hotel; and Villa Timeo in Sicily for Belmond.

Her galleries in Saint-Germain-des-Pr\u00e9s, Paris, and Tribeca, New York, extend her artistic vision through collections of furniture and objects. They champion contemporary design that brings French craftsmanship and savoir-faire to an international audience.

Named Designer of the Year by Maison&Objet in 2019 and Interior Architect of the Year at the ELLE Deco International Design Awards in 2022, Gonzalez is also featured in the AD100. The Studio<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

It is in a Belle \u00c9poque mansion built for Gaby Deslys (1881-1920), a shooting star of the music hall, that Laura Gonzalez set up her creative studio. \u201cThe location, a stone\u2019s throw from the Bois de Boulogne, with lots of trees nearby and a small garden, immediately appealed to me,\u201d assures the decorator. I feel like I'm working in a country house! \u00bb There, on 600 m2, spread over six levels, its 45 employees are busy, some glued to their computer screens refining plans on AutoCAD, others watercoloring textile patterns with a brush in hand. Faithful to her vision of an art of living joyfully mixing professional activity and the intimate sphere, Laura Gonzalez preferred to traditional offices a place arranged like a beautiful family home. The ground floor is therefore structured around a large kitchen-dining room which also serves as a meeting room, once the lunch break is over. Patterned carpets on the staircase, walls covered with printed fabrics in the open spaces, vintage furniture here and there contribute to a joyful daily life.<\/p><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Published by Rizzoli, Laura Gonzalez\u2019s first book, entitled Int\u00e9rieurs (Interiors), is a detailed retrospective of her most emblematic projects and a presentation of her most recent creations, tracing both her professional career and the evolution of her distinctive style.<\/p>

From elegant private residences and luxury hotels to restaurants transformed into works of art and many other spaces, Int\u00e9rieurs is not only a showcase for her projects, but also a source of inspiration for design enthusiasts and professionals.
